Caboolture and Kilcoy Hospitals are committed to Caring Together - to partnering with you to ensure youi feel heard, supported, valued and respected always.

Why your views matter

The Caboolture and Kilcoy Community Action Team (CabKCAT) is made up of former and current patients, consumers, their carers and community members who regularly give their valued input, feedback and perspectives on what the hospitals do and how they do it.

CABKCAT members are invited to attend regular meetings, ad-hoc workshops and to provide their input via email or telephone.

Members are able to choose how much they would like to be involved and the time they are able to commit, depending on their personal situation.

New members for CABKCAT are currently being sought. Everyone is invited to register.

Essential attributes

  • Experience as a patient, consumer, carer or member of the local community.
  • Experience or an interest in working with hospital staff to improve local health services.
  • Ability to work as part of a group.
  • Ability to share personal perspectives while respecting and appreciating different views expressed by others.
  • Commitment to learn about Caboolture and Kilcoy hospitals and the range of services they provide.
  • Willingness to use and develop effective communication and advocacy skills.
  • Willingness to commit time to participate in the types of a range of activities, such as attending meetings, reading and providing feedback on documents, reports and projects.
  • An appreciation of the role of patients, consumers, carers and the community can play in influencing long term change and improvements across the health service.
