Overview

Caboolture and Kilcoy Hospitals are commited to Caring Together - to partnering with you to ensure you feel heard, supported, valued and respected always.

If you are a current or former patient, carer or local community member, Caboolture and Kilcoy Hospitals would like to partner with you to make improvements now and into the future.

With the Caboolture and Kilcoy Caring Together Consumer Network and Community Action Team seeking new members, there is something for everyone.

Members of the community action team get involved in a range of activities across the hospital, giving feedback on everything from new publications, to policies, to the colour of the walls.

Network membership is more formal and involves attending regular meetings and speaking up for the community. Network positions are paid on a per activity basis.

A Community Representative Forum is being held on Saturday 21 November 9.30am – 11am in the Education Centre at Caboolture Hospital for anyone interested in finding out more about these positions. Please RSVP via the contact details below.

For more information on how to join Caboolture and Kilcoy Hospitals as a community representative, please visit – www.health.qld.gov.au/caboolture/caringtogether or call 5433 8524.

Caring Together Consumer Network

The Caring Together Consumer Network is a formal network made up of consumer, carer and community representatives who hold leadership roles within the hospitals.

Each member has been recruited to their position. Once recruited to the Caring together Consumer Network, representatives take up positions on various committees and working groups, including the Publications Approval Working group (PAW) and the Response Advisory Network (RAN).

Because of the regular and ongoing commitment made by these representatives, the positions are paid on a per activity basis.

Membership to the Caring Together Consumer Network is by application only.

Caboolture and Kilcoy Community Action Team (CabKCAT)

The CabKCAT group is made up of current and former patients, consumers, carers and community members who provide regular feedback about different topics and projects. Some CabKCAT members were even involved in developing and reviewing this handbook.

CabKCAT registration is open to everyone, from all walks of life. Membership to CabKCAT is voluntary.

Joining CabKCATS is a great way to get your first taste of partnering with Caboolture and Kilcoy Hospitals.
