Exercise and PSH Prevention

Closes 30 Sep 2022

Opened 1 Aug 2022

Overview

When you have a stoma, you are at risk of developing a hernia.  This is due to weakened abdominal muscles after surgery and the addition of a 'hole' into the major muscle groups that support the abdomen.

We would like to hear about your preference around exercises, which would be helpful in guiding us to develop an exercise program in the near future.

We will also be collecting basic baseline data to help understand our ostomate (person living with a stoma) population.  This survey is anonymous.

Whether you choose to participate or not, will not affect your ongoing care, ostomy supplies or access to the Ostomy Australia Journal.

Completion of this survey implies consent.  You have read the obove information and agree to participate in this research project.

Thank you for participating in our survey.
