The safety and quality of client care is a key priority for the Alcohol and Drug Service (ADS). It informs all aspects of the work and decisions made across the Service.
Clinical Record Audits are one of many strategies we undertake when evaluating and improving service delivery.
From the 14th November to 25th November 2022, ADS will be undertaking a review of the CIMHA record and paper chart (where appliable) for chart auditing pruposes.
The aim of the Clinical Record Audit is to undertake a continuous quality improvement process, to measure and evaluate the use of MNMH - ADS documentation tools and assists MNMH - ADS to meet the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards 2nd edition. This Clinical Record Audit occurs twice annually and this is the second audit for 2022.
When the November 2022 Clinical Record Audit has been completed, the audit results will be provided to each team/clinic for review at local team meetings. In addition to the results, each team will be asked to produce an action plan based on these results, focused on improving identified areas of concern.
