Draft RBWH Clinical Services Plan 2018-23 for consultation

Closed 2 Nov 2017

Opened 9 Oct 2017

Overview

The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) aspires to be the national and international leader in the provision of quality healthcare and Queensland’s leading provider for highly specialised clinical services.

RBWH is one of five hospitals in Metro North Hospital and Health Service (Metro North HHS) and is the largest tertiary referral hospital in Queensland, with nearly 1000 beds and more than 6000 multidisciplinary staff.

The RBWH provides more than one tenth of all patient services in Queensland, as well as services for residents of northern New South Wales and the Northern Territory.

As a major clinical training centre RBWH plays a critical role in developing the next generation of health professionals for Queensland by partnering with universities and medical colleges. It is also a centre for clinical research, producing an evidence-base for clinical care of the future.

It is within this context the RBWH Clinical Service Plan 2018-23 has been developed.  The Plan identifies service development priorities that can occur over the next five years to respond to the changing health care needs of a growing population within current infrastructure constraints.

We are now inviting feedback on the five year plan for clinical services at the RBWH. A copy of the Plan is attached below.

Please review and submit your feedback by Thursday 2 November 2017.
