For feedback from patients, carers and family about their experience of care at Redcliffe Hospital.

You Said

Overall majority of results demonstrate extremely positive patient experiences with services provided.

Responses which showed possible areas for improvement included:

  • Opportunity to improve communication of treatment plans with patients
  • Opportunity to improve involvement of patients in decisions about their care
  • Opportunity to reduce patient boredom during waiting periods including current TV hiring methodologies
  • Review of room temperature in patient rooms/wards
  • Review of patient gowns to ensure patient’s dignity
  • Review of facility logistics such as chair comfort, room shelving and parking

We will continue to work with consumers and community to identify opportunities and improvements in the above-mentioned areas.

The Redcliffe Hospital CaRE survey is to assess the patient experience and indicators of an empathetic workforce capable of delivering person-centred care.

Why We Are Consulting

Results from this survey will inform us of further work needed to improve. It will also help us to understand what works best in different settings, for diverse audiences and considerations for workforce needs.
